When it came time to record her 2017 debut album, WildHorse, RaeLynn knew exactly who to call to add vocals and harmonies to “Say,” a song she co-wrote with Barry Dean and Jimmy Robbins.

In her story behind the song video, RaeLynn says she knew “Say” would be an amazing duet.

“I’ve always dreamed of this song being a duet,” she says. “It was just perfect to have Dan + Shay on it because they are some of my best friends in this industry and I love Shay’s voice so much and Dan’s harmonies are incredible.”

“The video is a pretty literal interpretation of what I did after my breakup that influenced the song,” says Brooke to Nash Country Daily. “I spent my time hanging out with my girls a lot, going out with my girls a lot, and just basically doing anything I could do to get my brain off of thinking about my breakup. It was important to me to be truthful and authentic with the song’s lyrics, so that’s exactly what I wanted to show in the video.”

The camera tags along as Brooke gets ready at her apartment for a night out, and follows along as Brooke and her girlfriends have a good time at one of Nashville’s favorite dive bars, Springwater.

“My role in the video is exactly what I did after the breakup,” says Brooke. “It’s like you really have to put yourself in the place of going back to two years ago and reliving when this was reality. I never wanted to be alone after my breakup. I wanted to be with all of my friends and just fill my brain with anything other than thinking about the breakup. I wasn’t bashing my ex, either. It was more like I needed to get away from the situation. I didn’t want to feel like a victim in the video. I want to feel victorious at the end of it and feel like I’m moving on from something instead.”

“The Dash,” which was penned by Kyle Jacobs and Preston Brust, is featured on Scotty’s 2013 sophomore studio album, See You Tonight.

As Scotty performed the song about the brevity of life, a video displayed footage of SFC Lewis Clark Walton, who was killed in action during the Vietnam War but whose remains weren’t found and returned home until 36 years later. SFC Walton’s widow and adult children were seated in the audience and became visibly moved as Scotty sang.

“I’ve always loved performing ‘The Dash’ and was honored that the Memorial Day Concert producers asked me to be part of their show and pay tribute to the brave men and women who gave everything for our country,” said Scotty. “We will always remember them and their sacrifice.”

The concert, which was filmed from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, DC, was live-streamed on PBS’ Facebook Live and featured additional performances by Vanessa Williams, Renee Fleming, Ronan Tynan, Auli’i Cravalho and Russell Watson.

Dressed to the nines in her sequin jacket and silver boots, Maggie got the night’s festivities started atop the BMI building with a set that included her current single, “Body on Fire,” and the title track from her new EP, Dreams > Dollars.

Lee’s new single, “Boy,” ships to country radio this week. The nostalgic tune, which is the lead single from Lee’s upcoming fourth studio album, celebrates the many “firsts” in a boy’s life, including first fight, first kiss, first heartbreak and more.

Lee headlined a show last night (May 17) at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley as part of Nash Icon’s Rhythm and Boots concert series to benefit Musicians On Call. In front of the sold-out crowd, Lee treated fans to a number of songs from his catalog, including “Drinking Class” and his first single, “She Ain’t Right,” but the the most poignant moment came when Lee performed a stripped-down version of his upcoming single, “Boy.”

Elaina Doré Smith, co-host of national radio show Nash Nights Live, got some of today’s biggest country music stars together to put these misconceptions to rest in a hilarious new video.

The new video was directed by frequent TR collaborator TK McKamy, who also directed the videos for “Make Me Wanna,” “Die a Happy Man” and “Crash and Burn,” among others. Much like a movie trailer, the five-minute music video is full of twists and turns—focusing more on action than actual plot.

“There are a lot of crazy action scenes—a lot of firsts for me, in general, in this video,” said Thomas Rhett. “I’ve always wanted to get to do a fight sequence and play a tough guy, but I think Maren definitely shows me up. TK really pushed us both since we’d never really acted before.”

“Craving You,” which was written by Dave Barnes and Julian Bunetta, is currently No. 18 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart after five weeks.

Zac has kept his word. Following the release of “My Old Man” (Feb. 3), “Real Thing” (March 20), “Family Table” (April 7) and “All the Best” (April 21), ZBB continued its roll-out of new songs from its upcoming album by releasing their rootsiest song yet, “Roots.”

Produced by Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson), “Roots” is a definite throwback to ZBB’s early sound, deviating 180 degrees from the band’s 2015 album, Jekyll + Hyde, which pushed the country boundaries with traces of electronic music, hard rock and big band sounds.

ZBB’s new lyric video for “Roots” features a slideshow of photos and videos that serve as a timeline, documenting the band’s experiences and successes over the years, including an opening clip that shows ZBB winning a Grammy.
