“Good Vibes” is not only Chris Janson’s latest hit (possibly soon-to-be number one) but it also is a phrase that perfectly describes that feeling you get when he comes to hang out in the ACC Studio. The infectious tune is striking just the right chord with fans these days. With its upbeat, can’t-help-but-sing-along chorus, it sure is hard to stay in a bad mood when you hear it… or when you chat with Chris.
Recently, Kix caught up with the singer-songwriter about all things Real Friends, Chris’ latest album. For this project, Chris enjoyed the freedom that comes with being able to write and record at his own home. And, the title? Well, there’s really more meaning behind that than just one of the songs featured on the album. Chris tells us more about that in this episode of Kix TV. The Missouri native also talks with Kix about giving people their first chances, the cross-pollination of music, and how he went from not being a “collaboration-y guy” to having two on this album. Plus, Chris and Kix discuss their tendency to leave it all out there on the stage.
