This week’s Kidde Hero of the Week nomination has a bit of a twist! Our heroes this week aren’t service men or local firefighters or police officers, they’re kids – two good kids who are being nominated by their dad, Roger Dutton from Manchester, New Hampshire.
Roger writes:
I’ve been a truck driver for over 20 years. My heroes in my life are my two sons: Evan, 9, and Jacob, 13.
They have stuck by me through some pretty tough times. I have to move freight all over the country and they just make my life so much easier by being good kids! I look up to them because they look up to me. They are truly the most amazing children anyone could ask for!

Well, Roger, congratulations to you on raising two great kids!
You know, the world has changed from when we, parents, were children. There is so much more to navigate these days. And, it’s not easy for kids, especially when they have a parent who works on the road.
Anyway, it sounds like those boys do a great job of holding down the fort for you!
