In June 2021, the world was still dealing with the pandemic and Zac Brown Band had just released the lead single from their seventh studio album, The Comeback. Zac, who wrote the song with Ben Simonetti and Jonathan Singleton, said that “Same Boat” is really about the human condition. It’s about how we all go through the same things at the same time.
“Same Boat” would go on to become the band’s 14th number one hit in December 2021.
