Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Kidde Hero of the Week…
Teresa from Mississippi sent us her Hero nomination. She writes:
Dear Kix,
I would like to nominate my niece Stacy. She is a single mom who has worked hard as a certified pharmacy technician. Her life changed when she suffered a horrific attack from an abusive ex-boyfriend that left her severely hurt. She undergoes hours of painful therapy to help with her injuries and burns and has many surgeries ahead of her to repair the damage done, but she still smiles.
It’s amazing, but she seems happy and carefree. She appreciates life and never takes the small things for granted. Her laughter is contagious and her will to live is stronger than ever. I may be 55, but I want to be like Stacy when I grow up!

I’m so sorry to hear about something like that. No one should ever have to suffer abuse at the hands of another person.
But, I am happy to hear Stacy is on the mend, and I wish her the best. It’s amazing to see someone persevere in spite of such horrible circumstances.
