This week, one of our listeners, Breanna, wanted to pay tribute to her parents. She writes:
Dear Kix,
I’d like to nominate my parents, Carl and Misty Cazee, for Heroes of the Week. I know everyone thinks the world of their parents, but here’s why mine stand out:
My mother is a strong woman who’s always there when we need her – putting our needs before her own. As well as being a mother of six, she’s also an Army wife. My father has served in the Army for 15 years and closing in on retirement.
I am also in the military. As if their resiliency, compassion, and forgiveness weren’t enough to be amazing role models, they’re also amazing grandparents. They’ve helped me as a single mother through tough times, including helping me to stay strong through military training while being away from my daughter.
I admire them above all else, and they really are my heroes.
Much love to my parents from,
The Little Platoon

Kix’s Response:
I can only imagine, Breanna, that “The Little Platoon” is probably a name your parents gave you as a child… Hey, I like it!
I know growing up in a military family has got to come with a lot of sacrifice from everybody, and you have obviously decided to follow in your father’s footsteps, so hey, give ’em all you got! I’m sure they are as proud of you as you are of them.
