This week, we take a look at Miranda Lambert’s “Automatic:”
Songwriters Nicolle Gaylon and Natalie Hemby were over at Miranda’s condo, and Nicolle and Natalie had a title in mind. And, from there, they began talking about Miranda’s upbringing, and the lyrics and melody started flowing.
Once it was written, they knew they had something special. So, Miranda released it as the lead single off her Platinum album, and it won the ACM for Song of the Year in 2015…
